Bear raids car and drinks 69 cans of soda in British Columbia

A bear in British Columbia broke into a car and drank 69 cans of soda. The incident happened when Sharon Rosel, who lives in Earls Cove, was woken up by her dog at 3 a.m. and saw the bear outside. The bear shattered one of her car windows and started drinking the cans of soda she had bought for her business.

According to Rosel, the bear was drinking massive amounts of soda and went through 69 of the 72 cans of soft drinks that were stored overnight in her car. She took photos as the bear made its way through the cans of soda. She said the bear was particularly interested in Orange Crush but gave up after tasting some diet cola.

The damage to her car included ripped leather, a broken window roller, and sticky residue everywhere. Rosel said she is hoping her insurance company will pay for some of the damage. She is always careful not to leave food or trash in her car overnight, but she had not expected the cans of soda to attract a bear's attention.
