Elon Musk threatens to sue Microsoft over alleged unauthorized use of Twitter data

Elon Musk has threatened to sue Microsoft for allegedly using data from Twitter without permission. Microsoft announced that it would no longer support Twitter on its advertising platform, preventing ad buyers from accessing their Twitter accounts through Microsoft's social management tool.

Musk accused Microsoft of training illegally using Twitter data and said "lawsuit time" in a tweet, but did not provide further details or evidence to support the claim.

Since buying Twitter for $44bn in October, Musk has cut the company's workforce by around 80% and moved to boost its finances, including charging users for "blue tick" verification.
