Large Snake Escapes Enclosure in LA: Residents Advised to Watch Pets
Residents of Chatsworth, Los Angeles, are in a state of panic after a four-and-a-half-meter-long snake called Big Mama escaped from its enclosure. The owner reportedly forgot to lock the cage on July 3rd, leading to the snake's escape.

The owner took to social media to warn his neighbors to keep an extra eye on their pets, particularly cats and small dogs, as the snake typically feeds on rats. The snake in question is a non-venomous python. However, the escape has sparked outrage among many who have responded to the owner's post.
Search for the Missing Python
The owner, Alex Villalta, believes that the python is not very hungry as it had just been fed before the escape. He suspects the snake is hiding in a dark, secluded spot. In an effort to find the missing python, hundreds of flyers have been distributed around the neighborhood by Villalta, offering a reward of $1,000 for its return.
Speaking to KABC-TV after the snake's disappearance, Villalta expressed his concern and nervousness, stating that they had been searching day and night. He urged the public to help in the return of the snake, emphasizing that it poses no danger to humans. His primary concern is that someone might harm the snake, acknowledging that not everyone is fond of reptiles.
