US Teen Shot After Accidentally Ringing Wrong Doorbell
16-year-old Ralph Yarl just wanted to pick up his brothers, but he accidentally rang the doorbell at the wrong house. To his shock, the homeowner shot him in the head.
Ralph Yarl is now seriously injured and in a Kansas City hospital. According to his family, he has a good chance of recovery. The shooter has been arrested and temporarily detained. Police are investigating the incident but cannot yet say if factors such as racism are involved. The shooter's identity has not been revealed.
Kansas City's mayor expressed horror at the incident and said that all efforts are being made to clarify the situation. The family is now receiving support from several lawyers who previously represented the families of Rayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Breonna Taylor, according to the Kansas City Star.
